Sunset Swirl Cupcake Decorating Class

Join us in our Bunbury store for our ' Sunset Swirl Cup Cakes Decorating Class ' 

Basic info : 9.30 am start  - Wednesday 20th May 2026 Allow 1.5 hours. No baking involved. Take home your work of art = 6 cupcakes.

In this "Sunset Swirl" cupcake session, we’ll move away from basic frosting and focus on multi-tip piping and color blending to create these high-texture, vibrant treats.

The Masterclass: Advanced Buttercream Textures

1. The Multi-Tonal Base

Before piping, we will prepare our piping bags using the "Spatula Striping" method. By painting lines of coral and mango buttercream inside a bag filled with lemon frosting, you'll achieve that beautiful sunset gradient in every swirl.

2. The Texture Trio

Instead of one large swirl, we will use three different professional nozzles to build depth:

• The Rosette (Large Star Tip): This creates the main focal point. You'll learn to pipe from the inside out to get that tight, floral look.

• The French Star (Medium Tip): These create the "ridged" fan shapes around the edges, adding a sharp, modern contrast to the soft rosette.

• The Gem Drop (Small Open Star): Used to fill in any gaps with tiny "kisses" of buttercream, ensuring the entire cupcake surface is covered.

3. The Finishing Touches

• Layered Sprinkling: We will learn to apply "micro-pearls" for subtle texture and then strategically place oversized gold dragees to draw the eye to the center of the design.

Our instructor, Joellen will guide you through the process and offer assistance through each step.

• A apron will be supplied. 
• This class is suitable for ages 10+
• Our venue is approved by the Bunbury City Council for classes
• Classes are held at 3/7 Hennessy Rd (our Bunbury store)
• Full Payment is required to secure your place
• If you need to cancel, we will hold a credit for a future class if cancelled earlier than 3 weeks before the class
• If cancellation is within 3 weeks all monies will be forfeited
• If we need to cancel due to lack of numbers or illness we will provide a full refund.
