Whether you're a baking enthusiast looking to expand your skills or a beginner eager to learn the basics, this class is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth and a love for beautiful desserts. Join us and turn your cupcakes into edible works of art!

Basic info : 9.45 am arrival for a 10 am start on Wednesday 19th June 2024.  Allow  1 -1.5 hours. No baking involved. Take home your work of art = 6 cupcakes and newfound knowledge

On arrival we will have your work station set up with all the tools you need to decorate 6 cupcakes.

Joellen will be sharing her techniques, tips and hints through the morning.

Buttercream / Colours - Learn the difference between american buttercream and swiss meringue, oil and gel based colours, how to make the most of your colours and achieve various shades with only 2 or 3 colours, complimentary colouring.

Piping techniques -  How to fill a piping bag like a pro - the mess free way, which piping tips to use for different designs plus how to get more than one pattern out of each piping tip. Before we start piping on the cupcakes we will have a practice on a sheet of baking paper.

Decorating - Learn how to finish your cupcakes in a simple yet effective style with feature patterns and background fillers. Take your cupcakes to the next level with the addition of  sprinkles and glitter spray.

Joellen is self taught baker and cake decorator with a wealth of knowledge and enthusiam. 

You will leave this class feeling confident about your newfound knowledge that can be used on future decorating for cakes and cupcakes.

Important Info:

• Images used are our inspiration guide. 
• Please bring a water bottle and wear closed in shoes.
• Long hair to be tied back.
• An apron will be supplied.
• This class is suitable for ages 14 - 80 years (If your teenager is booking and you would like to stay please let me know when making the booking as we will need to accommodate extra space)
• Our venue is approved by the Bunbury City Council for classes
• Classes are held at 3/7 Hennessy Rd (our Bunbury store)
• Full Payment is required to secure your place
• If you need to cancel, we will hold a credit for a future class if cancelled earlier than 3 weeks before the class
• If cancellation is within 3 weeks all monies will be forfeited
• If we need to cancel due to lack of numbers or illness we will provide a full refund.
